In this post you’ll discover the transformative impact of top performance coaches as they inspire women to embrace their unique strengths and unlock their full potential. It might even motivate you to explore your own potential.
“Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end.” These words, spoken by business guru Robin Sharma, could not be more poignant in the realm of personal growth and achievement. But what if you had a guide, a mentor, a catalyst to catapult you from the hard and messy parts straight to the gorgeous finale? That’s where a top performance coach enters the scene.
You might wonder, what’s so special about these performance coaches? Well let’s see. Likely it’s their unyielding faith in your potential, their relentless pursuit of your success, and their ability to tap into your unique strengths that you may not even be aware of.
Examples On The Power Of Working With A Performance Coach
Meet Amy. Like many of us, Amy was stuck in a quagmire of ‘okayness’. She was a mid-level exec in a Fortune 500 company, constantly overlooked for promotions. Amy was a powerhouse waiting to happen, but she was like a Ferrari running on empty. She needed a fill-up.
Enter the performance coach.
In six months, Amy blossomed from a wallflower into a force of nature. She went from overlooked to overbooked, leading meetings with aplomb, and catching the attention of the bigwigs. She even nailed a promotion. All because she unlocked her potential with the help of her performance coach.
And then, there’s Olivia. Olivia had a dream – a quaint little bookstore that offered more than just books. But she was stuck in the ‘What If’ zone. What if it failed? What if she wasn’t cut out for this?
Her performance coach helped her navigate the treacherous waters of self-doubt, turning her ‘What Ifs’ into ‘Why Nots’. Today, Olivia owns a thriving bookstore-cum-café that has become a favorite spot in her community.
And Lisa, a mid-career professional at a US investment bank in London, was struggling with a severe case of impostor syndrome despite her immense credentials. Enter a performance coach, who helped her recognize her worth and communicate her value effectively. Lisa now leads her team with confidence, and her career trajectory is back on an upward climb. Most importantly the imposter syndrome has been sent packing.
Then there’s Madeleine, a single mother by choice and high flying strategy consultant, juggling work and home life, constantly feeling inadequate in both roles. A performance coach helped her prioritize, delegate, and establish boundaries, empowering her to be both an effective professional and a present parent to her twins. No mean feat! It took six months of lots of graft with her coach but Mads has come out on the other side with her sanity in check.
A Performance Coach Believes In You
You see, a performance coach doesn’t change you. They help you change yourself. It’s not about molding you into someone else, it’s about helping you become the best version of yourself.
What’s their secret sauce? Simple. They believe in you. More than you might believe in yourself. They see your potential, they see your power, and they help you see it too. And this is crucial. Think of it as having a personal trainer, but for your mind and spirit. Someone who doesn’t let you give up, who pushes you to run that extra mile when you think you can’t.
But let’s be clear, it’s not all rainbows and sunshine. The journey with a performance coach is super intense. It’s a deep dive into the depths of your soul. It’s confronting your biggest fears, your flaws, your failures. It’s tough, it’s messy, it’s beautiful. Like turning coal into diamonds.
You know that voice in your head that whispers, “You can’t”? Your coach is the louder voice that roars, “Watch her!”
Why You’re Worth The Price Tag Of Transformation
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. That’s right – the financial cost of getting a performance coach, especially the really good ones. Yes, there’s a price tag attached to this journey of self-discovery and growth. But remember, we’re talking about an investment in yourself, an investment that has the potential to yield unprecedented returns. I also see it in a different way. How many times have you booked a holiday worth thousands to get away from your stress or hoping it adds that little break, that perspective so when you return you’ll do what you said you’d do. But nothing changes. How much are we talking about here?
The Cost Spectrum In Coaching
Performance coaching is a broad field, and the fees vary significantly. But let’s take a step back and consider this: isn’t it a bit limiting to think of coaching in terms of hourly rates? A more comprehensive approach would be to look at coaching packages, which often include not just one-on-one sessions but also email support, assessments, Q&As and personalized action plans. These packages can range from $1,000 to $50,000, depending on their length and scope as well as the track record of the coach you work with.
Consider The Return On Your Investment (ROI)
Before you get a case of sticker shock, consider the return on your investment. A performance coach is not an expense, but rather an investment in your future. The benefits of coaching can be far-reaching and long-lasting, which should always influence not just your professional life but your personal life as well, as every part of your life is connected. A change in mindset in one area will always spill over into other areas.
Imagine breaking free from the shackles of self-doubt, reaching the heights in your career you’d always envisaged for yourself, improving your relationships, or finally achieving that elusive balance. Does it pay to put a price tag on your transformations?
Invest In Yourself
Think of it this way: you wouldn’t hesitate to invest in a house, a holiday, a new sofa, a piece of statement jewelry, a car, or heck even a Chanel handbag. Why? Because you understand the value that these investments bring. Now, consider investing in your personal growth, your confidence, your leadership abilities, your happiness. Isn’t that just as valuable, if not way more?
As with any investment, it’s crucial to do your research. Choose a coach whose expertise aligns with your needs, and who resonates with you on a personal level. And remember, the best investment you can make is in yourself.
So yes, hiring a performance coach comes with a financial cost. But the transformations it can bring are priceless. As the saying goes, “The best project you’ll ever work on is you.” And that is an investment worth making.
Now, don’t get me wrong. You don’t NEED a performance coach to be successful. But having one can accelerate your journey. The transformative impact of working with a top coach can be as subtle as a shift in mindset or as significant as a career leap. They help you see the unseen, hear the unspoken, and achieve the unachievable.
I can hear the questions swirling in your head. “Is it worth the investment?” “Is it right for me?”
Here’s my view from experience.
Every dollar, pound or euro invested in a coach is a dollar, pound or euro invested in yourself. It’s betting on your own potential, it’s buying a ticket for a front-row seat to your own success story. It’s like investing in high-quality skincare – you might not see the results immediately, but one day, you’ll look in the mirror and see a radiant, more confident you staring back.
So, what’s stopping you?
Maybe it’s time you stopped being your own harshest critic and started being your biggest cheerleader. Maybe it’s time to step into the arena.
My Nugget Of Wisdom
Back in 2001 I came across a book on a shelf that started my own transformation journey. I was 26 years old, living in South London at the time, feeling like something was really off about my life. I felt restless and frustrated and had this hunch that everything was supposed to be more, better, more exciting, more meaningful, more fulfilling than what I had going on.
So, in the words of Susan Jeffers, “Feel the fear and do it anyway.” I took her insights to heart and it changed my life. Fear had held me back, but not anymore. I felt the fear, walked through it, and discovered a person I didn’t know existed.
This isn’t fluffy rhetoric, I’ve lived it. After reading Susan Jeffers book, I ended a long-standing relationship, sold my apartment, and embarked on a 15-month journey across Bali, Australia, and India to become a yoga and meditation teacher. I even squeezed in a thrilling two-month road trip around South America, with a spectacular start at Rio’s Carnival. Fast forward 12 years, and I successfully sold the yoga and coaching venture I’d painstakingly built from the ground up.
So here’s my promise: You confront your fear, you step into the unknown, and you’ll find something remarkable. I’m not trying to sell you a dream. I am speaking from experience as a transformation coach who’s helped thousands of incredible women from diverse fields and gone through my own transformational journey.
